The founder of PayPal, the financier of Facebook, the ideologue-in-chief of Silicon Valley, whose worldview has had a great influence on the techno-oligarchs. He professes to be a libertarian, but he believes that monopoly is the only viable business model and that the free market is a myth. He hates the state, but he makes surveillance software (Palantir) for them for good money. He is anti-gay, but he is gay himself. He believes that women are incompatible with democracy.
Peter Thiel is a very controversial figure.
